Gifts and Legacies

The Mucha Foundation has a commitment to care for the works of Alphonse Mucha and, as such, has benefitted from the generosity of friends and collectors who have donated works of art and archival material to us.

We would be delighted to talk to people who are interested in the long-term preservation and appreciation of their precious objects through donating them to the Mucha Trust Collection.

Donation from Zdenka Cerny's son Otto Vasak

In 1994 the Foundation was honoured to receive a gift of the poster Zdenka Cerny: The Greatest Bohemian Violoncellist signed by Zdenka Cerny from Zdenka’s son Otto Vasak.

This poster may be seen at the Mucha Museum in Prague.

In 2014 the Foundation was honoured to receive a gift of the poster Monaco Monte-Carlo from Gail and Charles Lucky.

In 2019 the Foundation was deeply honoured to receive a substantial donation to support its conservation programme as a result of a charity auction organised by Forbes Magazine in the Czech Republic. We are grateful to both Forbes Magazine and also to Moser Glass, who donated an opportunity to the successful bidder to create a unique piece of glass in the Moser Glassworks.
