Three girls in national costume are resting on a hilltop overlooking the great expanse of the Bohemian countryside. The ecstatic expression of the girl in the foreground evokes a song to unite the Czech people.

Later that year, Mucha's homeland regained independence and was reborn as Czechoslovakia.
